Captain's Address

A message from the 2021 Captain:

It is a great honour for me to be captain of what will be the first year of a new Ballykisteen Golf Club. As we all know we have been through some very uncertain times over the past six months with the golf club at one stage looking like it would cease to exist. After a lot of hard work and tough negotiations we finally got there and have secured the existence of Ballykisteen Golf Club as a member run golf club.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in securing the future of the golf club and also to all the loyal members who showed us great support and backing throughout the whole process.

This year we will participate in cup and shield competitions as normal and we encourage members both old and new to get involved and participate where possible. Ballykisteen is and always will be a place where all are welcome and we hope to provide an environment for everyone not just for golf but for social occasions too and continue on our growing reputation as a thriving golf club. I would like to thank all the staff at Ballykisteen Golf Club for the work they have put in to have all our facilities in such good shape for our return to golf their work does not go un noticed and we all greatly appreciate it.

Finally I would like to wish Vivienne our lady captain all the best for 2021 and I look forward to working together with her and her committee in the coming year. I would also like to wish Sean a great year and we hope our junior section keeps on developing as a vital part of our club and we look forward to supporting you in any way we can.

Wishing everyone a great year of Golf for 2021
Mike Lynch
